Weapons are items used to do damage to other animals or players, gather resources, catching insects and increasing the taming chance of animals. They are split into three main groups, depending on when they are chosen: primary weapons, secondary weapons and tools.

Primary Weapons[]

These are also called melee weapons and are geared for close combat, being chosen at age 1. Each of them specialize in a given property, such as damage, speed or gathering resources.

  • Swords are designed to be balanced in all aspects. They have a decent amount of range, damage, knockback and gather. Katanas, their counterpart, increase their range and knockback but decrease their reload and speed.
  • Spears increase range but decrease damage and hitbox size. Naginatas, their counterpart, increase even further their range but decreases movement speed and cannot hit target too close to them.
  • Daggers increase damage and reload speed but decrease range and hitbox. Cleavers increase damage against animals but decrease overall damage against other entities.
  • Axes have high damage and wood harvest stats but have a high reload time. Labrys increase player damage and perform a full 360 degree attack, but increase the reload time and decrease animal damage.
  • Hammers have high harvest and low reload time but also low damage stats. Pickaxes increase harvest stats but also increase reload time and decrease movement speed and building damage.
  • Gloves have low reload time, high speed and an additional knockout chance, but have low damage and range stats.

Secondary Weapons[]

These are more diversified but still serve combat purpose.

  • Bows are ranged weapons that shoot projectiles at enemies (chosen at age 4). Crossbows deal more damage but have higher reload time (chosen at age 10). Muskets have lower reload times but are weaker against animals (chosen at age 10). Miniguns use up lots of resources but can shoot fast (chosen at age 10).
  • Shields are designed to be defensive weapons. When used against attacks, they deal less damage. Crystal shields reduce skill damage but decrease overall protection.
  • Wrenches can repair the durability of structures at the cost of stone.

These are also called in-game third weapons and serve miscellaneous purposes. These weapons are chosen at age 5. Appletor and Slingshot increase the taming chance of certain sleeping animals, the Saddle allows the player to ride boss level pets, and the Bug Net allows you to catch bugs.
