Taming.io Wiki

Welcome to the Taming.io Wiki Blocking Policy page. Before you settle in and start contributing to the wiki, please familiarize yourself with the rules outlined here. This list contains all of the blocking policies, including those related to swearing, vandalism, and other infractions.

Notes Before Reading

There are some notes that we would like you to read before you reading the rules. This list contains ALL of the notes here:

  • We allowed users to actually edit without registering, but that doesn't mean that you can vandalize the wiki. Before thinking you won't get blocked, any administrator would warn you with a block and you will not be able to do the infraction you are doing.
  • If you see someone breaking one of the rules, please tell an administrator, mod, or any staff etc. All admins/mods can be found here.
  • If you would like to suggest another rule, you may ask the wiki bureaucrat Williek. Or you can ask what about the rules or ask an administrator.

Rules

This list contains ALL of the rules of the Taming.io Wiki. Note that any replica of this page you create/they create will result in a block.

Minor Offenses These are minor offenses, which means that they are not severe as like vandalizing multiple pages or doing something even worser then it is.

Rule Description
Keep it in a Civil Tone You may use curse words that are NOT like extremely bad words, but you may not use them in such a way to attack someone's personal, beliefs, culture, gender, etc, which in turn means no use of bigoted language.
Be a Productive Member of the Wiki Contribute to the wiki as to add to the existing content and not to degrade the quality of existing articles. If you need some help, ask an administrator.
Follow our Forum Guidelines When using the forums, follow the guidelines established specified here.
Follow the FANDOM Terms of Services When you first agree to using the services provided by FANDOM, you agree to following their terms of service. In case of breaking them, your account may be subject to deletion or another applicable punishment. If you haven't already, read them here: https://www.fandom.com/terms-of-use. This includes underage, etc. This rule is based on Fandom itself.
No "Edit-Farming" Edit Farming is not allowed in this wiki as might any other wikis. This will not result in a block but will result a block on the specific page.
Do NOT put gibberish into pages This is doing such thing like putting questions or random stuff into pages like ex: "999999999" damage or "fire fairy is cool" which is NOT related into the game. You may create Fanons, but putting curse words into it will still result in a block.

Major Offenses Major offenses are things that are a huge impact to our wiki. Such as removing content from pages, sock puppetry etc.

Rule Description
No Racism Racism is considered one of the most dangerous things to say globally around the world or any other wiki. Saying something racist will result in an instant block.
No Vandalism Vandalizing one page will result in a warning, but vandalizing multiple pages will result in a block.
No Flooding the Wiki Attempting to flood Forum or the Wiki will result in an instant ban.
No Sockpuppetry Sockpuppeting such as abusing many accounts or using many accounts trying to raid the Wiki will result in an instant block and no, you are not funny doing this.
No Erasing Pages Erasing pages such as removing everything from a specific page will result in a block.
No Major Disruption Do NOT cause major disruption on the wiki. This can result in a permanent block.

Dealing With Offenses

Minor Offenses

Those offenses are where they might not even realise they did something wrong - say, use of offensive language.

2nd 1-day block 3-day block
3rd 1-week block
4th 1-month block 3-month block
5th 6-months block Permanent block
6th Permanent block

Major offenses

Those offenses cause major disruption, such as spam, vandalism across multiple pages and sockpuppetry.

Major Offenses
# Violation Minimum Maximum
1st 1-month block
2nd 6-month block 1-year block
3rd Permanent block

Terms of Service breaks

In the case of Terms of Service breaks, let FANDOM handle it by making a support ticket.

Important notes

  • Deal with offenses by type: When considering the punishment to give, do not consider offenses of other types. If the user has been previously blocked by a major offense but not by a minor offense, do not give him a lengthier block.
  • Reason: In the reasons section, it is important to add the type of the offense - minor, major or Terms of Service break. You may optionally add more info about the block.
  • Block log: The user's block log in order to know how many offenses he has done is located at the bottom of the block page. Alternatively, you can see it on the Special:Log page.
  • Talk page: Keep their talk page open.
  • IP bans: In general, you should probably IP ban them unless you have a good reason, which you should detail in the summary.

Appealing blocks

In case you have been blocked on this wiki, you may appeal your block by asking another staff member or the same one that blocked you. Unless you can present some sort of evidence to the following, your appeal will be dismissed:

  1. The offense was labelled improperly: If, for example, your offense was labelled as major even though it was a minor one, you may ask another admin to have a second look at your block. If accepted, your block time will be reduced appropriately, and of course, you may be unblocked altogether if your block would have already expired.
  2. The block was not according to any wiki policy: If accepted, you will be unblocked altogether.
  3. The block time was inappropriate: If the block time does not match the one described at the dealing with offenses section, your block time will be appropriately reduced.
