Taming is a major part of the game, because it is how the player tames animals. After a successful tame, the player gets slightly older and the animal turns into a pet, which starts following their owner. If they fail to tame an animal, however, it will attack the player in their detection range. Only sleeping baby animals can be tamed.

Taming Chance[]

In general, the stronger the animal is, the harder it will be to tame it (e.g. Dragon has 8% chance, while Rabbit has 66% chance). However, the Appletor and Slingshot can assist in taming them. By hitting the sleeping animals with one of them (for any given animal, only one of them works), the chances of taming will be increased by 1%, although it has a small chance of making them wake up.

The Tamer's Cap can also be used to multiply the taming chance by 1.29 times, and the Item-potion45 Elixir of Influence increases the chance by 5% after the multiplication. This means that the taming chance of a given animal is:

The Item-potion44 Brew of Unbreakable Friendship guarantees your first 5 tames in a given game to succed.

Taming Pets[]

Taming Common Pets[]

The best method is to spawn 2 minutes before the biome starts, kill a boss pet with axe and buy the Tamer's Cap. Die, respawn, equip the tamer's cap and run around the server taming the pets you want.

To tame pets with small taming chance under 10%, then get a hammer, kill a boss pet, get Appletor or Slingshot and Tamer's Cap and increase its taming chance up to 15% or 20% and then tame.

Taming Boss Pets[]

For ones that spawn from a boss, get a good boss killing pet, usually Fennec Fox, and kill the boss. Having the Golden Appletor/Golden Slingshot. Increase the pet's taming chance to 50%/60%/78% (you have a 100% chance of taming it at 78% with tamers cap). The Lucky Hat is also useful to decrease to chance of the taminlg tool to fail.

Server hopping is not very effective, as it only saves about 4-8 minutes every cycle of 40 minutes, while you could have tamed several more pets instead of passively leveling up. Sticking on one server also lessens the chance of landing on a server that someone just chose for an event. perhaps the christmas event
