A status effect is usually is the form of an aura that surrounds you, either giving you a buff or a rebuff.
There are many types of status effects, being:
Generic Effects[]
Generic Effects can be caused by many types of animals and belong to a certain type, for example Poison Fairy giving poison to the enemy. Skill activation will be cancelled if the caster is under these effect.
Burning, caused by Fire Type, usually causes a lot of damage. It usually deals more damage and lasts shorter than the other effects, these attributes make it better for quick killing. Fire fairy, Salamander, Horse, Fennec Fox, and Inferno Gaze can apply this effect. This can be avoided using the Fire Cape.
Poisoning, caused by Poison Type, usually last quite long and deal moderate damage, this effect can be fatal is applied as it can do high overall damage. Poison fairy, Skunk, Polecat, Black Spider, Yellow Scorpion, and Acidog can apply this effect. This can be avoided using the Poison Cape.
Paralyzing, caused by the Electric Type, is a skill that slows down and deals quick but low damage, compensated for by the slow down ability. Fox, Electric Fairy, Rat, and Stingray can also use this effect. This can be avoided using the Electric Cape.
Freezing, caused by the Ice Type, is a more polarized version of paralyzation. Frozen entities can almost not move, and almost helpless, but freezing inflicts no direct damage. Ice dragons, Ice fairies, Coldogs, and Glacial Gazes can all inflict freezing. This can be avoided by using the Ice Cape.
Infested, caused by the Insect Type, makes the enemy have a blurry and lesser vision, but deals moderate damage and as well as having a minor slowdown ability. Insect Fairy, Giant Moth, Giant Bee, and Bugdog can apply this effect. This can be avoided using the Insect Cape.
Pollened, caused by the Ancient Type, makes the enemy's hats or cape useless for some time, but deals moderate damage with a little lesser vision. Currently, only the Rexdog has this ability.
