The Player vs Player System, commonly known as PVP, is a mechanic of the game in which one player and another players fights together, this is commonly one of the most common things to happen in the game. The PVP system focuses on timing, skill, and healing. These mechanics mostly do not apply when fighting regular enemies (Player vs Entity) and only apply to players fighting each other, as PvP means Player Versus Player.
What is Player vs Player? And Why?[]
The Player vs Player is one of the most common things to happen in the game, alongside with grinding other pets and fighting bosses, PVP includes one player winning and one player losing and restarting. However, sometimes there will be more people fighting, which are known as 2v1s, or 3v1s. Or sometimes 4v1s. These means that four players are against one player. They can easily team up by using the Team mechanic, however, this can be easily countered using certain pets.

This is an example of a 1v2. Because of this, they are more geared up and teams.
PVP can often happen when fighting bosses, or even simply just exploring around. There are around an average of twelve players in each server, which means that the player has a chance of fighting one of the twelve. This is usually common, with opponents stacked with any powerful pets and paired with max daggers. This is guaranteed annoying for most players because if there are doing a quest, they might get easily targeted as a treat. Another type is that a person with a skull on its side of Nametag means you need to stay away. However, it isn't always guaranteed on winning. The player sometimes loses, but don't give up, you can always keep on trying to manage to defeat your opponent.
Player vs Player System[]
When a player is defeated, the winning player will receive an estimated amount of one sixth of the losing players Gold (example: 1.2M / 6 = 200000, so the winning player will receive 200k
Gold, as well as one sixth of the other players age.
When a skull appears in the left of the player at the leaderboard, it shows that the player has the highest amount of kills and is a threat. When you see a player with a skull, it is best to not interfere with the player, as it can result into being defeat or losing your pet(s).
Every single player has 100 health when fighting, if they lose all of their health, the player will die and can either continue by watching an ad. However, the age is divided by one and one ninth and will continue so on until the player reaches age 0. But the player can increase health by eating Food, but the food cannot bypass the maximum cap.
Triple Spike Technique[]
The Triple Spike technique, is a complex technique used by other YouTubers such as Fortish and more. This technique allows a guaranteed death to a player if the user has an Amethyst spike or a better spikes, however, this isn't always guaranteed and can be easily escaped if the opponent has a good timing.
When doing a triple spike, the player instantly creates three spikes around the opponent, trapping and causing damage. However, the player must have a good timing on doing a triple spike or else they could trap themselves.

This is an example how the triple spike should look like
The best way to do a Triple Spike is to do it on a desktop device, since it is almost crucial without a desktop. It is fairly simple if the player knows good timing and good hand movement.
Tutorial on Triple Spiking[]
First, it is highly recommended to change your keybinds, the player first needs to go to settings, and replace the spike keybind preferably with / if the player is an arrow key player, or E if the player uses WASD, but the player can choose any keybind they are comfortable with.
Then, make sure to rotate your mouse at a 360* acute angle, and make sure to press W, A, S, D, or D, S, A, W in order. Then, the player can press the E key at W, A, D, or D, A, W, make sure to have right timing, as this can take a lot of timing and practice. It is recommended to either practice in a badge less server or with less people, or having enough wood and stone to actually do it.
If you are still struggling with timing, here's what you can do:
- Change your keybinds into a preferable keybind system.
- Practice more slower, and eventually faster once you master each step.
- Ask a friend or a partner to help you train faster.
If you are STILL struggling with timing after following these steps, here's what you can do:
- Change your keybinds for placing spikes into space.
- Practice cautiously, without bumping into the opponent.
- Ask a friend to help you and practicing multiple times.
If you STILL cannot do it, it is highly recommended to join the official Taming.io Discord and ask people to help you.
If you are on mobile, it is recommended to watch this video to help learn more.
This can often be very frustrating, but the only best way to master triple spike is to practice more.
Combos[]
Combos are powerful moves often used by experienced players or YouTubers like Fortish. They are made by using pet abilities together in a smart way to deal a lot of damage. A good combo can hurt another player a lot—or even defeat them instantly.
Most combos use three pets that work well together. Each pet has its own special ability, and when combined, they can overwhelm the enemy. Learning how to use combos takes practice and knowing how each pet works. That’s why combos are mostly seen in high-level fights or by players who know the game well. In battles, a good combo can be the key to winning. A good combo video can be found here.
How does a "Combo" work?[]
A combo works by having pets, or other abilities, attack an opponent in a coordinated sequence. These combos are often used to deal massive amounts of damage, and they are especially effective in eliminating opponents. By combining the strengths of multiple pets, each with their unique abilities, a skilled player can unleash a series of attacks that overwhelm the enemy. Since these combos can inflict substantial damage in a short amount of time, they have the potential to kill a tamer before they even have a chance to react. The ability to execute a combo effectively requires timing, strategy, and knowledge of how each pet works, making it a powerful tool for experienced players.
What are some Combos, and how?[]
Combos can be challenging, requiring precise aiming and perfect timing. While some combos are difficult to execute, practice allows players to master them, leading to more effective and easier ways to eliminate opponents. Mastering the right combo can significantly improve a player's ability to kill enemies with greater ease.
Beginner Combo: Triple Lynx
Triple Lynxes can be deadly to a player, as three Lynxes can result in an instant kill. However, even if an opponent is wearing a Combat Cape, three Lynxes can still kill the player.
First, change your keybinds for dragging all your pets to a more convenient key. For example, if you use WASD for movement, consider using E or Q for dragging pets. This will make it much easier to aim your pets quickly.
When an enemy approaches, quickly drag all your pets to target the opponent. Then, use the ability by pressing the corresponding keybind. This will allow you to instantly eliminate the opponent.
Beginner Combo: Fairies
Fairies are a great way to kill a player, especially its low skill cooldown, and its passive effect. Any fairies can be great to start a combo, as long as you know how to use them.
The best fairies to use are: Plant Fairy, Rock Fairy, Fire Fairy, Water Fairy, Spectrum Fairy, Ice Fairy, or Dragon Fairy. These fairies can be very handy when PvPing despite its great passives. Such as the Dragon Fairy that can drag the enemies back if you know how to, or the Ice fairy which can deal stun which can be great for starting combos. Any fairy can work, as long as you know how to use them.
Intermediate Combo: Sheep + Armadillo
This combo can be great for PvPing, as the Sheep's ability allows you to drag your enemies in, and the Armadillo allowing you to dash while dealing damage. As well as a counter combo if you are using Katana. Even if you manage to fail, the Sheep and the Armadillo's skills have a low cooldown. Which means you can use these combos easily.
Intermediate Combo: Triple Rabbits
This combo can be very effective, especially since it uses a beginner pet that can be unlocked at any time. It becomes even stronger when paired with the Plant Cape. The combo is capable of instantly killing enemies by combining stun effects with high damage output, making it a powerful choice during battles. However, it can be easily escaped if not timed correctly. Therefore, it is recommended to wear the Plant Cape to increase damage and improve the chances of securing a kill.
Advanced Combo: Mushroom + Katana
This combo can be challenging for beginners due to its difficult timing, but it becomes very effective once you learn how to use it properly. First, charge up your Mushroom's ability. Then, when the fist reaches its highest point, quickly use a boost pad and strike the enemy with the Katana. Although it may be hard to master, this combo is powerful when executed correctly, giving you a better chance to win in battles.
Advanced Combo: Triple Snow Wolves
Triple Snow Wolves is known to be a powerful "sneak-attack" combo. First, charge up all your Snow Wolves' abilities. Then, when they begin charging, quickly use a boost pad to launch yourself into the enemy. This often leads to an instant kill. The combo can be highly effective if you know how to use it properly, but it can also be challenging due to the precise timing required.
Advanced Combo: Rabbid + Giant Mantis
To start this combo, make sure to equip Daggers, as they are the main reason the Giant Mantis is used. This combo is commonly used for base-raiding. Begin by activating all of your pets' abilities, then quickly use a boost pad to launch yourself into the enemy and start striking with your Daggers. This deals a whopping 26 damage per hit, and if stacked with the Dark Wings, it increases to 28 damage. This can be a highly effective combo if you know how to time your attacks. However, if you're already skilled at using the combo, you can choose to use either Rabbid or Giant Mantis depending on your preference.
Combos in Taming.io are essential tools for skilled players looking to gain an edge in combat. Whether you're aiming for instant kills, quick escapes, or high damage output, mastering combos can drastically improve your performance. While some combos are easy to learn, others require precise timing, smart pet selection, and lots of practice. As you continue to experiment and refine your strategies, you’ll find that the right combo at the right moment can be the difference between victory and defeat. Keep practicing, stay creative, and you’ll become a true threat on the battlefield.
