Taming.io Wiki

The Pet Level System encompasses all mechanics related to leveling up pets. As a whole, they allow the Player to strengthen unlocked pets by increasing one of their primary stats: weight, speed, health, attack, regeneration points, and regeneration speed.

Leveling up[]

When selected pets (those picked from the menu or chosen as potion pets—not wild animals) enter their boss stage, any experience points earned will count toward the pet's level.

Below is the formula of XP required to upgrade a pet to its next level. Here, stands for the current level, and stands for the XP required.

The Vulture, Cow, Caracal, Raven, Giant Moth, Kangaroo and all gain XP faster than others. On the other hand, Legendary animals gain XP 20% slower than average.

To accelerate leveling, an Energy Saver Tonic can be used to boost the experience points earned. Its effects can be stacked up to a maximum of 6x if used thrice. Additionally, equipping King’s Crown will provide a further 1.5x experience boost. Combined, this allows for a maximum experience multiplier of 7.5x, making it significantly easier and faster to level up pets and enhance its stats.

Stats[]

When a pet levels up, it gains a stat point. All stats start at +0 at Level 1 and increase linearly with the level. The amount each stat increases by is determined by the pet's base stat at its respective age, meaning that every pet with the same base stat at a given level will gain the same amount per level.

There are six primary stats:

  • Weight Weight: Used to increase a pet's knockback as well as its overall heaviness.
  • Speed Speed: Used to increase a pet's speed as well as a slight weight increase.
  • Attack Attack: Used to increase a pet's damage.
  • Health Health: Used to increase a pet's health.
  • Regeneration Points Regeneration Points: Used to increase a pet's regeneration points, improving its healing points.
  • Regeneration Speed Regeneration Speed: Used to increase a pet's regeneration speed, improving its healing speed.

At higher levels, a stat may require multiple stat points to upgrade. The table below shows the number of stat points required for each level:

Overbreed[]

Overbreed, also abbreviated as OB, allows players to enhance pets beyond the maximum level. When a pet reaches level 60, it becomes eligible for overbreeding, which resets the pet’s level to 0. In return, the pet starts with 20 extra stat points. These extra points accumulate with each overbreed, allowing pets to eventually have far more than just 60 stat points.

Overbreeding can be done up to OB 30, although a level 60 pet with OB 9 can already max out all stats.

Trivia[]

  • A total of 240 stat points is required to max out all stats.
  • A baby animal gives 50xp when killed, an adult gives 100, a boss gives 400 and a Big Mamma Boss gives 1200.
