The Friend System is a function of Taming.io that allows you to add friends by their ID, for example, #123, which also means they made the 123rd account. By having a friend list, you are able to see what servers they are in and join them to play together, and it's also possible at any time to unfriend another player.
Private Mode[]
This setting can be turned on to prevent your friends from knowing which server you are in. When you look up the person's info in-game, it says "THIS PLAYER IS PLAYING SECRETLY". It also makes it hard to tell if the person is anonymous or not, as it prevents others from knowing what ID number you are (for example: #123456). The pin looks like #??? as it refers to an anomaly.
Referral System[]
The referral system incentivizes players to invite new friends over to the game to obtain potions and golden apples. To unlock these rewards, 6 friends are required to complete the 4 daily challenges, sign up, and verify their email. You receive the following rewards for every friend successfully referred, in order:

Golden Apple - 100x
Golden Apple - Howl Wind Tonic
- Philter of Aging III
- Vial of the Wealth III
- A cosmetic that resembles a Totem.
